Sinn Féin: A Party for Irish Unity

Origins and Vision

Founded in 1902 during a time of revolutionary change, Sinn Féin emerged as Irish nationalism, the women's movement, and the labor movement united for independence. These ideals were later reflected in the 1916 Proclamation and the First Dáil’s democratic program.

Commitment to Irish Unity

As an Irish republican party, Sinn Féin is dedicated to ending partition and achieving reunification. The party led the Irish Peace Process, playing a key role in the Good Friday Agreement. Today, with strong public support, Sinn Féin stands as the largest political party in Ireland.

America’s Role in Irish Unity

A History of Support

The USA has long supported Irish independence, from Wolfe Tone and the Fenians to the 1916 Rising, the Hunger Strikes, and the peace process. American involvement was key to the Good Friday Agreement.

Friends of Sinn Féin

Friends of Sinn Féin help bring Sinn Féin leaders to the U.S. to strengthen support for peace and unity. Donations directly aid Sinn Féin’s work in Ireland and the U.S., ensuring continued American backing for a united Ireland.
